Cancellation Policy

    NPA Notary Finder — A Service of the Notary Public Association
    Effective Date: April 6, 2026

    1. Overview

    This Cancellation Policy applies to all Notary Member subscriptions purchased through NPA Notary Finder at notaryfinder.io. By subscribing to any NPA Notary Finder plan, you agree to the terms of this Cancellation Policy in full.

    NPA Notary Finder offers two subscription plans:

    • Monthly Plan — $15.00 per month, billed monthly
    • Annual Plan — $144.00 per year ($12.00/month), billed annually

    All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until canceled.

    2. How to Cancel

    You may cancel your subscription at any time through either of the following methods:

    • Account Settings: Log in to your account at notaryfinder.io, navigate to Account Settings, and select "Cancel Subscription."
    • Email Request: Contact us at support@notarypublicassociation.org with your account email address and a written request to cancel. Cancellation requests submitted by email will be processed within 2 business days of receipt.

    It is your responsibility to ensure your cancellation is completed before your next renewal date. NPA Notary Finder is not responsible for charges that occur as a result of a cancellation request submitted after the renewal date has passed.

    3. When Cancellation Takes Effect

    Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — not immediately upon request. This means:

    • If you are on a Monthly Plan, your subscription remains active through the last day of the month for which you have already paid.
    • If you are on an Annual Plan, your subscription remains active through the last day of the annual period for which you have already paid.

    Your notary profile will remain live and visible on the NPA Notary Finder directory until the end of your paid billing period. After that date, your profile will be deactivated and removed from public search results.

    You will receive a confirmation email when your cancellation has been processed, confirming the date on which your access and profile will end.

    4. No Refunds

    All subscription fees paid to NPA Notary Finder are non-refundable. This applies to:

    • Monthly Plan subscribers who cancel before the end of their current monthly billing period.
    • Annual Plan subscribers who cancel at any point during their annual billing period, regardless of how much time remains.
    • Partial billing periods of any duration.
    • Unused features or services included in the subscription plan.

    NPA Notary Finder does not issue prorated refunds, credits, or partial reimbursements for any unused portion of a subscription period under any circumstances, except as expressly required by applicable law.

    If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at support@notarypublicassociation.org within 30 days of the charge. We will review billing error claims in good faith. A billing error is distinct from dissatisfaction with the service and does not entitle you to a refund under this Policy.

    5. Automatic Renewal

    Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current subscription rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. Renewal charges will be applied to the payment method on file with your account.

    We will send a renewal reminder email to your registered email address prior to each annual renewal. It is your responsibility to ensure your payment information remains current and accurate. NPA Notary Finder is not responsible for failed renewals resulting from outdated or invalid payment information.

    We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing upon 30 days written notice to your registered email address. If you do not cancel prior to the effective date of a price change, your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

    6. Reactivation After Cancellation

    If you cancel your subscription and later wish to reactivate, you may do so at any time by logging in to your account and selecting a new subscription plan. Reactivation is subject to the then-current subscription pricing and terms.

    Reactivating your subscription after cancellation does not restore access to any prior billing period or entitle you to any credit for time previously unused.

    7. Termination by NPA Notary Finder

    NPA Notary Finder reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion for violation of the Terms of Service, fraudulent activity, misrepresentation of notary credentials, or any other conduct deemed harmful to the platform or its users.

    In the event your account is terminated by NPA Notary Finder for cause, no refund will be issued for any remaining unused portion of your subscription period. Termination for cause does not entitle you to any credit, reimbursement, or prorated return of fees paid.

    8. Governing Law

    This Cancellation Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, and shall be read in conjunction with the NPA Notary Finder Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall control.
